Annick Malan

Annick is an accomplished pianist, performer and music teacher. Her classical piano training commenced in 1992 with the well-known and highly acclaimed music teacher, Claudine van Breda, under who Annick completed 11 years of training.

Annick received her BMus IV (Hons.) degree at the University of Pretoria in 2009, specialising in Music Therapy, Classical Piano and Music Theory. For her Classical Piano, she studied for 4 years with Prof. Wessel van Wyk. She was taught Jazz Piano for 3 years under the guidance of Dr. Charl du Plessis and Noel Stockton.

As piano & music theory teacher, her pupils have received highest marks, resulting in Annick receiving a UNISA honorary award for music theory teaching. Besides performing at various official events across South Africa, including diplomatic functions at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, she has also performed in Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Kroonstad, Nylstroom, Phalaborwa, Stellenbosch, to name a few. She also has extensive experience as performer at restaurants in Pretoria.

Piano&MUSIC was established from her deeply-rooted love for music, which is evident in her approach towards her music lessons and performances, and she strives to make a difference in people’s lives through sharing music with Piano&MUSIC.
